I can feel for your family
And I can feel for my own
A strand of paper hearts
Hanging limp around the room
I can see your head hung
Below them
Whispering to yourself
That you hope it
Isn't the way it feels
Only the way it looks
I can feel one too many eyes
Watching
From all corners
Of the circular room
I am speechless
Its an output
Just an output
Ill tell stories
As you tell your own
Speak over me
Your louder than the rest
I would allow you to speak forever
If you actually spoke words
I would allow you to tell me
What its like to live inside your mind
What its like to dance alone
To music you cant hear but you can feel burning into your soul
Branding you like a calf destined for nothing but to feed a man who doesn't need to be fed
Somewhere in the vast expanse of a Texas ranch
Where the clouds hang low and the bushes are the trees to those who have never seen an evergreen
I would allow you to burn me if I weren't afraid of fire
And if you only knew how to strike a match
I would allow you to tell me stories of all the ghosts you met
Flying overhead
Screaming for someone to see them
In the foggy white void of your mind.

Composed of Nothing.
I lost my touch,
My balance, my frame.
I lost my heart,
My knowledge, my name.
I lost my life,
All that is me.
I lost my beauty,
And all that is free.
I lost my wisdom,
All that I've known.
I lost my past
From which I've grown.
I lost my touch,
My balance, my frame.
Though it is not mine,
I lost my name.
My balance, my frame.
I lost my heart,
My knowledge, my name.
I lost my life,
All that is me.
I lost my beauty,
And all that is free.
I lost my wisdom,
All that I've known.
I lost my past
From which I've grown.
I lost my touch,
My balance, my frame.
Though it is not mine,
I lost my name.

We Will
We'll speak gibberish. make up a language so that no one can understand us, but us. we'll climb to the highest branch of the tallest tree, tie a string and hang our tire swing. We'll laugh and we'll laugh and we'll laugh until we can laugh no more. Until our sides are ripping in half with pure joy. The joy that is bubbling up inside of us and filling us until we can take no more and we burst. We will lay in the greenest of grass and gaze at the brightest of stars. We'll steal a bike and ride it down the biggest hill. We'll never use the breaks. We'll wrap up in blankets and hide in our pillow fort. We'll tell secrets and huddle around a flashlight campfire. We'll stand on the brim of the Grand Canyon and scream and scream and scream until someone screams back. We'll never let each other down. We'll finger paint our walls our ceiling our floor. We'll play hide and seek and tag and truth or dare. We'll pretend we're five again. We'll make believe you Peter Pan, I'm Wendy, and I'll never leave Neverland. We'll never grow stale. We'll eat good food and drink good wine. We'll dance like we are in front of a crowd of thousands but no one it watching. We'll smile until our cheeks hurt. We'll live each day from sun up til sundown and live each night from dusk til dawn. We'll never let the world get the best of us, but we'll give the world our all. We'll have good friends with good intentions. We'll be with each other. We'll live for each other.

I Hope I Know What I Said
My trust is shallow
Empty and whole
Built like bridges
Held up by great supports
But could crumble with one wrong move
I am afraid.
I am afraid to tough you
To see you to feel you
To want to need to hope
I am afraid of darkness
Of shadows of blindness of light
I am afraid to forget
To remember to look back
To look forward to look
I am afraid to accept you
To learn, to cherish to see
I am afraid to realize your okay
To grow to challenge to change
I am afraid of living
Of knowing of doing of healing
I am afraid to forgive you
I am afraid it will all be the same
I am afraid,
Empty and whole
Built like bridges
Held up by great supports
But could crumble with one wrong move
I am afraid.
I am afraid to tough you
To see you to feel you
To want to need to hope
I am afraid of darkness
Of shadows of blindness of light
I am afraid to forget
To remember to look back
To look forward to look
I am afraid to accept you
To learn, to cherish to see
I am afraid to realize your okay
To grow to challenge to change
I am afraid of living
Of knowing of doing of healing
I am afraid to forgive you
I am afraid it will all be the same
I am afraid,

In Rememberance and the Hopes of Staring Over
We will forgive you
In time
When all the smoke has cleared
And all the damage lifted from our homes
And taken away
We will forgive you
We will forgive what you did
To our fathers, our friends
Our mothers sisters brothers uncles aunts lovers
To strangers
What you did to people we never knew
And will never meet
We will forgive you
In time
We will forgive you
When you grow older and wiser
When you know that you were wrong
When you learn to feel
We will forgive you
When we realize
That the people that you took
Are greater than this earth
Are greater than the life they lived
Are greater than the way they died
We will forgive you
When we can all hold hands
And sing prayers for those who can not sing
When we sing prayers for the penniless
For the fatherless the motherless
The orphans
When we sing prayers for the lost
Who still wander their dark hallways
And wonder
"What could I have done?"
We will forgive you
When we realize that it is okay
That the last thing we said wasn't
"I love you"
It was simply
"Goodbye"
When we realized they knew it anyway
We will forgive you
When the earth stop shaking in the tremors that you left
When the world stops burning in the fire you rained down upon us
We will forgive you
When something greater than forgiveness fills our hearts
And we know it is okay
To let all of our anger go
That the world will absorb it
And whisper quietly into our ear
"It is okay.
Let it go."
We will forgive you when the moon smiles down to us
With a thousand faces we once knew
All smiling
And telling us
That they forgive you.
In time
When all the smoke has cleared
And all the damage lifted from our homes
And taken away
We will forgive you
We will forgive what you did

Is you is or Is you aint?
I am a soul
Yes you can see me
But you can't control me
Just try
I am a body
Yes you can break me
But you can not take me
Just try
Yes you can see me
But you can't control me
Just try
I am a body
Yes you can break me
But you can not take me
Just try
Friends of Friends
It is spilling all down my arms
Dripping onto my feet
And onto the floorboards
Gives them a creak
They wobble
And they shake
Beneath this old house
Painted blue
For the winter
For the winter skies
Bluer than blue
So blue they are white
With cotton balls stuck in the
Blue-white
Giving birth to tiny new
Balls of cotton
That stick to the roof
Of an old house
Painted blue
Where friends of friends
Of friends sit
Because they thought they knew you
But it was only friends of friends
Of friends
Who introduced you
And they though they'd love you
But they sit
Solid, still
as a rock
Those friends of friends
Of friends
While a friend of yours
They do not know
Run naked through
The streets
Shouting let me go
At prisons
That are not there
So you try and grab
Your naked friend
But he just shouts at you
Let me go
And your friends of friends
Of friends
Stand on the porch
And wonder
What went wrong
Because somewhere down the line
This was normal
But they've grown old and stale
And painted blue
Like the old house
Where it dripped down me
Onto your floor
And your floor isn't silent
Anymore
In this blue house
That matched the sky
But its grown old
And become dry
Where it spilled
Down my arms
And cause the blue house
So much harm
The floorboards warped
And squeaked so loud
So I made this house white
To match the cloud
Dripping onto my feet
And onto the floorboards
Gives them a creak
They wobble
And they shake
Beneath this old house
Painted blue
For the winter
For the winter skies
Bluer than blue
So blue they are white

Safety Belts
Safety belts around my neck
Deceiving me
Brown leather boots alone in a corner
Correcting me
Dark alleyways with sun lamps
Illuminating the death
Safety belts around my neck
Letters from a stranger
Bring me hope
Phone calls from a friend
Bring me care
Messages from a lover
Fill me to the brim
With dread
Safety belts around my neck
I burned calenders
To stop my aging
My clock broke
Stopping time
I put my hands on my ears and screamed
To deceive me
I wrapped safety belts around my neck
Deceiving me
Brown leather boots alone in a corner
Correcting me
Dark alleyways with sun lamps
Illuminating the death
Safety belts around my neck
Letters from a stranger
Bring me hope
Phone calls from a friend
Bring me care
Messages from a lover
Fill me to the brim
With dread
Safety belts around my neck
I burned calenders
To stop my aging
My clock broke
Stopping time
I put my hands on my ears and screamed
To deceive me
I wrapped safety belts around my neck
